Marty Hurney Surely Didn't Leak Claiborne's Wonderlic Did He?

How has no one realized the logical fallacy of this? It's not like Hurney is the only one with access to his scores. All the GM's can see his scores. The only people that this was "leaked" for is the general public. The people who make the drafting decisions for their teams would have already had this information.

Exactly. No GM would be swayed from making a pick because of public opinion of a leaked wonderlic score. Since they already knew the score, it would mean nothing.

I don't understand how collegiate athletes could score so badly on the wonderlic yet somehow meet the standards for attending college. The questions on the test are basic logic questions, a dead horse could score a 4.

There are no accomodations for folks with learning disabilities like there are in the classroom. So it doesn't measure his ability so much as his reading ability. Just like this demonstrates my poor typing skills more so than my intelligence.

People have speculated that the leaker has to be from a team that's hoping Claiborne falls to them. And now, miraculously, there is lots of speculation today that Claiborne will fall to the Panthers at #9.

Surely Marty Hurney isn't a terrible enough human being to leak the score of someone with a learning disability just in hopes of drafting him, right?

I don't follow your logic. Who's he leaking it to? The other teams know the same way he (or whoever it could be) does.

Think about it

Why don't we think. Every GM has access to that score. Why the hell would hurney leak it for him to fall? The GM's woulda already reworked their draft board.

The only logical explanation, is him leaking it to see how the other teams are gonna draft em. Since reporters have sources.

Yea all teams have access to the score.. but if Hurney did leak this info, he's a genius. Insecure GMs will think twice about drafting the guy. A Top 10 pick can not fail.. otherwise that GM could get his walking papers. Unless the GM has a proven track record, tenure, and is not on the hotseat.. a guy like Hurney could pull the trigger.
