Everette Brown - D, terrible for what we gave up to move up and get him..

Sherrod Martin - C, showed spunk his 1st year but terrible sophomore slump

Corvey Irvin - F, never got going

Mike Goodson - C, never got the chance behind 2 studs, but fumbles dropped him down

Tony Fiammetta - D, "Best FB in Draft" - thought Fox and Co. would love this guy.

Duke Robinson - F, there are no words..

Captain Munnerlyn - A, for a 7th rd pick.. not starter quality but great find

overall grade = D+

that draft was horrible... yet another example that Hurney is a bad talent evaluator

he has done nothing to address our HUGE holes on defense (dont worry though, we got a 3rd running back), and Mare is still under a over paid contract (dont worry there are only 2 teams in the NFL with less cap space then us, so paying a kicker alot of money makes good sense)

he let Peppers (1 of the NFL's best D players) leave and we got nothing in return

we were paying Delhomme 16 million to play for the Browns

we moved up to get E. Brown who couldnt even be a consistant backup

we moved up to get A. Edwards who ONLY gets on the field because Hurney gave up so much to get him

It seems that the positions we drafted in 09 were pretty thin. Brown was the sixth DE taken but a few before him were busts as well. Connor Barwin and Darell Scott would have been better picks than Brown and Irvin. I think Martin has outplayed his fellow defensive backs at where he was selected.
