The Peppers saga just got a little more interesting...

I hadn't thought about this until now, but there is no question that Everette Brown is an RDE... remember that last year Peppers asked to be moved from LDE to RDE because it felt more natural to him - and subsequently had a career high in sacks. With Peppers and Brown there is no question about who is playing RDE.

Now, not only does he have to come back and play for a team he doesn't want to play for, but he has to move back over to LDE and watch Everette Brown get most of the sacks.

They should have wrote: "P.S. FU Julius" on the card they handed up to select Everette Brown, LOL.

You don't trade a 1st round pick to draft a guy you plan to play as a backup, Brown is clearly a starter at this point when you look at our stable of DE's. At 6'1" 256 he can't play LDE so there's only one place for him on the field right now and that happens to be the spot Julius currently occupies.

I think that Julius will be happy with this addition. He started becoming unhappy when he didn't have quality on the other side and got too much attention because teams didn't have to worry about the other side. If they start having to worry, it's all good. I don't think this is meant to be his replacement, but his complement...

Julilus Peppers is a veteran who leads our franchise in sacks and has been elected to multiple Pro Bowls. Slated to make towards 17 million this year, I believe he will play where he and the coaching staff feel he will be most affective despite the presence of Everette Brown.

Hilee Taylor and Charles Johnson showed signs of being able to pass rush last year, but neither really were consistent in getting to the quarterback. Hopefully Brown can contribute immediately.
