No Changes To Uniforms Confirmed By Jr

Seahawks getting new unis

When the new Nike-manufactured NFL uniforms are unveiled on Tuesday at an event in Brooklyn, Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor will be sporting the team’s new game attire.

The team’s website confirms that the Seahawks are getting a brand-new look, their first since 2002.

Cornerback Walter Thurmond, who knows a thing or two about creative football apparel from his time at the University of Oregon, has worn the new uniform, calling it a “new age” approach. “It’s transitioning from where we are as an organization and where the league is going,” Thurmond said.

“With Nike, it’s always going to be something different. It’s not going to be something traditional that everyone is used to seeing.”

It’s believed that the Seahawks logo has been adjusted to return gray to the color scheme, and it has been reported that the team’s alternate jersey will be gray.

No other teams are expected to undergo significant changes to their primary uniforms. Some teams could get new alternate jerseys. The Steelers have hinted at a change to their current third uniform, and Rams coach Jeff Fisher has said he’d like to ditch the yellow-and-blue outfit the team wore when beating Fisher’s Titans in Super Bowl XXXIV, opting instead for the team’s blue and white combination of yesteryear.

If only JR was open-minded.

Stripe change. And I look forward to the day he steps down. Not bc of uniforms, but bc he is stubborn.

Blasphemy! There are things that bother me about Jerry but take a time machine back to 1994. Charlotte had a population of like 300,000. We had no business getting an NFL Franchise but Jerry made it happen. My biggest fear is him passing away and his successor moving the team.

Most likely his successor will be his Son, no one is gonna move this team with all the money it brings in. We have no problem selling tickets we're actually 6th in ticket sales in the 24th largest market.

It's complicated and the big Cat has been coy on the succession plan. The way I understand it is, If he drops dead unexpected the team cannot be "willed" to his son. It has to be transferred in some other way. It's complicated and I'm not a lawyer. I would expect his sons to keep the team here but if another businessmen gets the team....Charlotte is great but LA is more great. Would love to see the Jags move to LA to put that to rest.
