Means we put in a clause saying if his achilles gets injured again, we don't have to shell out all that dead money, thus freeing us to sign a mid-season replacement more easily. We can only speculate what Hurney is going to do, because we aren't NJPanthers and we don't have sources inside the organization that tells us whats going to happen.

That said, we're going to sign Jordan Senn to a 5 year, 40 mil contract.

A risk must be admitted here, this is a serious injury and he is trying, like all athletes, to come back early. He's human like everyone else, these things take time to heal completely. I trust the staff to make sure he doesn't overdo it, but we've been trusting them to do that with TD for years.

Why would Beason, much less any NFL player sign that deal?

With TD he was in a contract year when he was first injured. He signed a friendly deal so he could stay with the Panthers, use their team doctors, and facilities, instead of being an out of work LB.

Beason is not the same, we paid him, there is tons of guaranteed money in place already, he has no incentive to sign a new deal unless the team is going to give him more money upfront than he would make now...essentially a pay raise.
