Charlotte Flight or stfu. i'd rather have the bobcats colors and name over the hornets.

i remember when the hornet's team name and colors were announced, people hated them then too. people didn't pack the coliseum to see the bobcats, they packed the coliseum to be seen and brag about it. it was a status symbol until larry johnson and alonzo mounring were drafted, the hornets biggest accomplishment until then had been beating jordan's bulls a couple times.

bunch of nostalgic garbage. i'll never support the charlotte hornets after shinn took off. at least bob johnson sold the franchise to a carolina native. jordan offered to buy the hornets too. jordan would have kept the hornets in charlotte.

stop living in the past. this is all just hangover and fallout from the nba forcing a franchise into charlotte too soon. deal with it, accept it, embrace it. stop putting qualifiers and conditions on the amount of loyalty you give your hometown franchise.

It does deserve mentioning in this thread that the Hornets' worst-ever season was 19-63 in '90, and the Bobcats' present 7-45 mark could end up being the worst in NBA history. My point being, anyone saying the Bobcats are being operated better than the Hornets were, on their worst day, is wrong.

There is no qualifier, what pisses me off is people accusing me or anyone of the same line of thinking as me of being less of a fan because we want to see positive change for the franchise.

Some people may want a rebrand strictly based on the Hornets nostalgia, but not me. I want it because this brand sucks and stats prove it. Doesn't mean I support the team any less. I've paid to go to games, I've wasted gas money for almost a 6 hour total trip to go watch them stink it up, and I have bought merchandise. Where is the qualifier on that?

Oh and I still can't even watch MY team on TV. Thanks Bobcats. You sure are fan friendly and business savvy... Nope, no branding or business issues here, everything is laid out perfectly to develop the best fanbase in the NBA and consecutive championships!

Proudiddy posted an article about NC's support of the Bobcats and said it was about Charlotte. LMAO. Quite frankly I could care less if Raleigh, Boone, etc support Charlotte's team.
