olindo freakin mare got us 188 points last season, leading the team in individual points scored. cam was second with 40 less.

when you can take points you get them. a PAT is far and away the easiest score you're going to get in the national football league, the closest thing to a guarantee you have, so you take every single one you can get.

its illogical to assume that all 188 came from extra points..thus your argument fails.

you are right, but i wasn't trying to say all 188 points come from PATs. I was highlighting the importance of putting your kicker out there when he has the opportunity to score. the same rationale applies to field goals... yeah, you might be able to make it on 4th-and-1 with your hugeass fullback, but leaving points on the field gets coaches fired. same would apply to your scenario.

also your posting style changes enough in between posts to warrant the possibility that you are a troll in disguise... but i will give you the benefit of the doubt ;)

Yeah, I always thought fans wanting to go for it was just gameday excitement most of the time, but I guess some think about it all the time.
