Mj Planning Exit Strategy If Team Doesn't Turn It Around

Lmao. Bobs have been more competitive and won more games than them the past 4 years. The Warriors also went thru an ownership change during that time. Believe it or not, not all NBA fanbases are dependent on frontrunners and whine and cheesers. There are teams who have fans that are rabid about bball even when their team isnt winning.

By the way, MJ came out today and said this story is 100% bogus. Look how quickly fans "give up". Lmao.

Yeah, I get tired of the brow beating I've gotten at times on different Bobcats boards, and even here regarding the Panthers for voicing my displeasure with certain moves (letting Pep walk for nothing, for instance, or us trading for Dampier). As I've said a million times, I am a fan through thick and thin. I've put money towards these franchises, they are my teams. Always have been and always will be. I'm bound to our hometeams.

So, when I see something I don't like or don't agree with, I'm gonna speak on it. If anything, it shows I'm more passionate than most fans. Just as you see with that Warriors video... Wow. One thing I've never done is gone to the games and booed our organization or anyone associated with it. It still doesn't mean they're less of fans, it just shows how much they love their team... But that was rough to watch.

Btw...

MJ squashes the rumor. I'm glad he did. Despite our flubs in the past and my pessimism at times, I've been an MJ fan my entire life and I want this franchise to turn the corner with him at the helm. I was one of the fans that wanted him to win the bid over the guy from Houston, so I want him to be the guy who makes us a winner (and I want him to shut all the people up who say he isn't a good executive).

You all need to get over this ridiculous name thing and a change will make things OK. You may have noticed the Dodgers just sold for 2 Billion, the "Dodger" name refers to dodging trolleys in Brooklyn. Then there are the Lakers, Minnesota, lakes. you get it right? The name means shiz and has no relevance to Los Angeles or to merchandise sales. It's the product on the field or court that matters.

I'm not concerned with the name at all. Just acknowledging that most of Charlotte is, and also that every other major professional team in NC uses "Carolina" instead of "Raleigh" or "Charlotte", so it'd probably be a good idea for the NBA team to, also.

"Most of Charlotte"=small group of people on the net, most of which are from rural areas (Hootersville, Mooresville, China Grove, Fuquay-Varina, etc.), yet they claim Charlotte. If its so many people who care, why hasnt it happened? And due to the fact "Charlotte" put up all the money for the arena and not "rural Carolina" the team will always be called Charlotte per city lease.

MJ has once again shown that his ability as a businessman and owner is sub-par. He was a great player, but has SUCKED ever since.

He has traded away every asset this team had and received little to nothing in return....he has drafted as bad as humanly possible...he has almost pulled the trigger on several bone-headed trades (only to back-out once the press discussed how we were getting royally screwed).

Quite frankly....having him leave would not be the worst thing for this team.

The "Bobcats" and NBA continue to make bad PR moves in the area. They have shown very little respect to the Charlotte and New Orleans markets and expect to be treated like the greatest thing since...

They refused to give either city what they wanted. NO never really accepted the "Hornets" and Charlotte has yet to truely embrace the NBA "Bobcats". The NBA blames "small markets" instead of blaming themselves.

To be honest I dont think his trades have been that bad, most have been average. The playoff team was built on trades (certainly not on the draft picks), and the only recent trade I didnt like was the Gerald Wallace trade (didnt get enough back IMO). Gutting the team was sorely needed, there is just no way around it. Missing on the draft picks has been his fatal flaw in the front office- Adam Morrison in particular, and I hope he has learned from his mistakes and just lets Cho run the show from now on.

    • I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.
    • He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
    • 6-10 carries for  35-45 yds and 3-5 catches for 15-25 would be great.
