I like how fans get pissed off when the teams don't pick the players the fans wanted. The Panthers did a good job of drafting for needs, but im still iffy about giving away our 2010 pick.

From what I've seen he is very fast and has good size. I'd still rather have Sean Smith. My biggest gripe is that if we didn't like Sean Smith, there are plenty of other teams that do I assure you. We could have easily traded back for a early-mid 3rd and 4th. Possibly even to a team with two 3rd rounders. Spend a 3rd on Martin and boom... extra 3rd or 4th rounder and you still get the same guy. I just don't see any reason we should be drafting him in the 2nd with Sean Smith sitting there... ughhhhhhhhhh

f--k i'm repeating myself... this pick just looks sooooo f---ing bad.... i hope he works out for us though. If Sean Smith is kicking ass in Miami and this guy stinks it up I'm gonna go nuts......

This dude is one of the best safeties in the draft. He was injured a lot, thats why he went in the 2nd round. Just wait and see...

The more I look at him, the more I think he was drafted specifically to be the nickel back (i.e. Richard Marshall II).

Having a corner/safety hybrid playing that role can be handy.

Absolutely...with the passing games these days. FS has become almost a CB-like position.

Yup. I don't think that either Fox or Meeks wants anything to do with a DB that can't tackle...especially if he's gonna play nickel.

I've seen like one website that has Sean Smith more than one rank above Martin by position, and usually no more than 2-5 spots over Martin in the overall draft. And Smith IS a bad tackler
