I can't think of a father way to the dog house than fumbling the football

Generally thought of as a fixable problem, but adjustments have to be made. Perhaps Goodson was resistant to the adjustments. I'm only speculating, but Rivera seems like the kind of coach who gives people chances as long as they work hard and have the right attitude.

  Very different players with different strengths who really don't have a ton of overlap and IMO wouldn't be as great as they were if they were in each other's systems - Ray was a classic 3-4 ILB while Luke is a 4-3 guy through and through. That said, Luke is a better fit for today's NFL and there would be ways to partially protect him from interior lineman if he were in a 3-4, so I think he'd be a bit better there than Ray would in a Luke-esque 4-3. I'd give the nod to Luke but that is not taking anything away from Ray.
