Does Poe Fit The Nose Tackle Position In A 3-4 Defense

I seriously can't believe people are comparing Poe to Cam. There is NOTHING to compare, you actually see Cam's athleticism on the field, with Poe you do not. Cam had one of the highest QB efficiency rating in the SEC for a QB, Poe who played in the fuging conference USA for god sakes did hardly anything.

So... I take it you are not in the Poe camp?

Poe underperformed. Why? Bad coaching? No coaching? I would think that even CMU would have a decent O-line coach. So, if not coaching, then what? Not enough drive? The light bulb never went off? Too many questions for a #9 pick.

But cereal folks. If we were at, say, 15, I could see this board going balistic. All these D-linemen that are a reach at 9, would be in play. Hell, at 15 the skies the limit. Lots of possiblities to ponder when you are mid 1st round. The speculation would be rampant.

The 1st rule of the draft is always take the OT. There is only 1 this year. Probably not feasable, but is a possibility.

The 2nd rule is always take the BPA. Hopefully it is a position of need, because you must take talent when it is there.

The 3rd and final rule. Never, ever, reach with a top 10 pick. They are too rare to misuse.

The rules are there for a reason. Hey, I didn't just make em up. If you follow the rules, good things happen. And Zod knows we need for some good things to happen. I mean, it has been what? 4 years since we went to the playoffs? You guys are just plain spoiled.

Got carried away, Deal with it. And GOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Is it just me, or is the phrase "Franchise QB" getting watered down? All of a sudden, every team has a Franchise type QB. The whole NFC North, South, 3/4 from East, and Bradford. The AFC East has NE and BIlls, South has Tenn and Houston, the North 3/4, and the West is 3/4. That is a poo load of pretty good QBs I tell ya what. 12 for the NFC, and 10 for the AFC. That means 10 teams don't have a franchise qb. And 2 of those will join the fqb ranks this year.

The comparison comes from both playing at lower level competition. Yes cam had one year at auburn. People question both of there work ethic, both have Huge amount of upside. Both are massively big men who run at speeds a man there size shouldn't. The same situation applys to poe. He's in the same mold of freak as cam although defensively, the getting pushed down thing doesn't bother me see as defensives keyed on him with bad talent around him. You draft both of these guys based on potential not production. No one was wowed by cams passing ability and many thought his rushing wouldnt translate at the next level.

Poe didnt just pop up this year,he's been on scout radar for a while now. I think his technique can be improved and he can be coached up. This kid can play anywhere on the dline and is a once and a generation talent same as cam. His tools are unheard of and production will come with better technique.

Cam scored 50 f%$king touchdowns at Auburn. Poe did squat at Memphis. Deangelo dominated at Memphis. He was the best player on the team. Are you going to tell me teams didn't gameplan to stop him? But D-Lo was an elite level player playing against lesser talent so he killed it regardless. If Poe was half the player some of yall are saying he would have too.
