A Top 10 Trade Possibilty To Watch For...

In separate articles on different day, I have read 2 things about teams looking to deal in the top 10:

The Rams, having traded down already to #6 are looking to trade up.

The Browns are looking to trade down.

Rational

The Rams want Claiborne or Blackmon. It is possible both are gone by #6. As far as they are concerned, their is a huge dropoff on their board after those two are gone. Some say, "But Cleveland will take Richardson..." But the Browns are looking to trade down.

The Browns covet one of three players, and two are likely to be on the board at #6. Trent Richardson, Justin Blackmon, and Ryan Tannehill. I am of the opinion that Tannehill is who they want, but they realize he is a player for 2013, and they have so many needs. However, if they could add a third rounder from the pick-wealthy Rams, it makes sense.

I would say that this trade is very possible.

If it was up to me I would pull off a three way trade:

Carolina gets:

Cleveland 1st round pick (4th overall)

This helps the Panthers get Claiborne....one spot ahead of Tampa.

Cleveland gets:

St Louis 1st round pick (6th overall)

Jonathan Stewart

This moves the Browns back...two spots ahead of Miami. The Browns walk out with JStew and Tannehill, plus have another first round pick and an early second round pick.

St Louis gets:

Carolina 1st round pick (9th overall)

Cleveland 3rd round pick (67th overall)

This moves St Louis back 3 spots, where the talent pool is still practically the same. They also pick up an early 3rd rounder to boot.

Meh, I wouldn't be willing to give up a proven player for a few spots up and an unproven player. Our best bet is wait and see what is available. There is going to be a prospect available that will dramatically improve our team. He is going to be Coples, Claiborne, or Brockers. There is No way that we should draft a player if he is not the number one prospect of his respective position considering our drafting spot. I would be willing to lose claiborne if we keep stew and get Coples or Brockers.

I dont get it... it makes no sense for the rams to do this trade... they pick up just a 3rd rounder... and I understand everybody loves J-Stew, but the Panthers Brass has made its bed with D-Will when 20 million guaranteed came into play. So if J-Stew got value and you have a back who is similar to him, then you gotta get some trade value for the guy. We made the mistake of letting Peppers walk away without any real compensation and I know the Panthers had to had receive for him... As a fan I dont ever wanna see a great back leave. As a part of business it just makes sense.

I would rather have a second for Stew than just trade up for Claiborne.

I love Claiborne, but woudl rather have a DE/CB or a DT/CB than just Claiborne.
