What you fail to realize is you also beat the same dead horse..... from the opposite side.

Absolutely. I will be glad to not comment again if you do the same. Problem is that you won't last a week. You are the one obsessed with William's contract. I am just here to give balance to your constant ranting and point out the flaws in your arguments.

Wrong again. Stewart only appeared in 14 games in 2010.

Post like this show you are more concerned with arguing than anything.

Point of my post was clear. Injury hasn't been an issue in regards to Stewart being on the field.

So correction - Stewart has suited up for 63 of 65 total NFL games. Easy mistake. Doesn't change the point made.

Williams 51 of 65 in the same window of time.

People complaining about Stewart being hurt all the time is silly.

I am not complaining about Williams anymore. I have accepted his deal. What you need to realize is his contract impacts other conversations and moves going forward. So I can't wipe all Williams talk off the map.

I think after this year we should let Stewart walk.....that is not bitching about Williams. His deal does impact that. In reality, as long as we have RBs who fit the scheme I don't care who they actually are.

Team has changed. Double Trouble was the most important aspect of this team. We needed to put the load on them just to be respectable. Times are changing.....it is all about Cam. Money and talent investments should change going forward.

Some fans need to move out team of the Fox mold of where to stockpile your talent

Newton is so good that you don't need great RBs. Find RBs who fit the scheme and you can invest elsewhere. Jake, Moore, and Clausen needed Double Trouble. Keeping them intact is a luxury and waste of money you could be using elsewhere.

Lecture all you want the p55 viewpoint is the only logical approach....it isn't. That is why the moment Tolbert was signed NFL world started talking about Stewarts future

I don't agree, the Panthers don't agree and most importantly the FO and coaches don't agree. Does it matter what other teams and the media think?????

Until I see a "dime-a-dozen" pedestrian RB getting the job done for us without turning the ball over, I will continue to believe that this type player doesn't exist. We might get lucky and find a diamond in the rough, but I don't think RB's are as interchangable as some might believe.

BTW, I don't regard Tolbert as being one of these type players. I think we got a deal on a "diamond in the rough" type player.

BenJarvis Green-Ellis is a pedestrian RB that never fumbles and gets the dob done, so it's not impossible.

Well he was a 1000 yard rusher in 2010, but dropped off in 2011 to 3.7 ypc. This was in NE though and they are most certainly a pass heavy attack.

Looks like the Bengals are giving him 4 million this year with 1.6 million available if he hits some incentives. That's not exactly what I'd call "dime-a-dozen". He does have solid ball protection skills though...

Dang... Never thought of it like that.

Probably a good thing since we aren't paying them anywhere close to 16 million. The salary for Williams and Stewart this year is 6.7 million for the two of them. That is less than the franchise tag for one back which is 7.9 million. Their cap hit which includes the prorated signing bonuses is right at 12 million. Until we actually pay them 16 million we can hold off doing the math.

I see your point, but even if Tolbert was not on the roster, Hatter is right--$16 million-That is $1 million per game--for 20 carries? That means every time Stew or DWill run the ball, they are paid $50,000. That comes to $10,000 per yard gained during a good year.

People on here (not you) think they can have everything. They fail to consider the fact that keeping 3 RBs at nearly $20 million takes away from other positions. You gotta spread the wealth.
