Also, why am I not surprised? He makes some stickied post pretending that he gave us something oh-so-great and then it doesn't work.

Yeah, everything is always marked as unread. And on the mobile version, whenever you click on a thread it always takes you to the last post regardless of whether you've read it or not. So if I'm on my phone and see a new thread that's jumped to 10 pages quickly, I have start on page 10, hit previous nine times to get to the first page, and then go through a page at a time (and if I want to skip a page, I can't). When the new site first came out the mobile version was perfect, always going to the first unread post. So I assume this issues are tied to the issue of not being able to mark something as read.
