I'm going with my family. Great chance to get down on the field and take pictures. If Cam shows up even better! I wasn't sure if I would go because I love to watch the draft and listen to the coverage (I like watching the Super Bowl alone to). But you can't pass up a chance to take the kids into the weight room and see the tribute to Sam Mills. I think it's nice the Panthers organize events like these for the fans although the cynic would say they are pushing the new merchandise.

Last year I went and ran into Jerry Richardson. He was walking outside the stadium directing his employees. No real security around him. Was like meeting an idol for someone that was age 10 when the Panthers came to town.

Last year they reported around 9000 people attended. They had the draft live on two big screens that flanked a stage outside the south entrance. It never felt crowded because they had the locker rooms open, the field was open, and the parking lots were open so people were spread around. When they announced Cam at as the pick the place went nuts. They even showed the crowd live on NFLN.

It was free to attend and they had food and beer vendors on site

I still have the video on my phone from when we picked Cam and the reaction of the fans outside the stadium. I need to upload it to YouTube or something in case my phone decides to go for a swim one day. I might go again this year. The good thing about last year was everyone knew who our pick was and that he was a superstar so everyone went crazy. This year's reaction will be a little more subdued, I'm sure.
