I understand not over spending on FAs but damn it looks like we are either going to stand pat at one of three positions. DT, CB ,or

DE and we need help at all three. I understand taking care of our own but we have put ourselves In the same situation as teams that go out and spend on FAs. We just did it in a different way.

If we're able to upgrade at least one starting position at each of the three levels of defense this off-season, be it through free agency or the draft, I'll be happy. Not taking into account what we may get back from injury, that's just icing on the cake. Between Ninja Dude and a fully healed Hogan, I'm hoping we're 1/3 of the way there.

NFL contract information is kept pretty tight lipped for a myriad of reasons. I just cant imagine a random website having it listed 100% correctly

Agent access would be about the only way it could be accurate.

They could just be calculating on their own from what's reported, but not all terms are reported.

I say we restructure Charles Johnson's contract into one that gives him $1 million per sack in a season, plain and simple. Last season? $9 mil. 2010? $11 and a half mil. The year before that? $4mil. Then you could cap it at $15 mil a season so if he pulls a Jared Allen (I wish) we're not out like $20 mil on the year.

Probably not realistic but $76/6 years and being the highest paid player on our team is fuging ridiculous. That's Peppers money and he is no Pep.
