Stafford/Lions agree to terms

Ummm didn't Stafford pass for less than 60% in college?

Isn't he a Junior?

Yes to both and each of those carries a big big big danger of BUST in the NFL, a sub 60% college passer and a Jr. I think they were talking about QBs in the first on Mike & Mike last week with Brian Billick and he said something like 43 have been picked since 1990 (I think that was the year) and of those only 13 could even be considered to be good). He then said, when you miss on a QB in the first, you end up analyzing games on Fox which made me lol.

I did not hear that, but I have done my own research, and pretty much just paid attention to what is really going on in the NFL, instead of listening to ESPN.

Junior QB's the throw less than 60% do not fare well in the NFL period. You would think that GM's would look at the past.

THey sure ignored the history of Tedford QBs. Wasn't Harrington one? I guess my thing is this...it may be one thing for a team in the high teens or twenties who has a decent to solid team to take a HUGE HUGE risk like Stafford, but Det @ 1 with that team is in no way shape or form in the position to take that type of risk IMO. Even if he sits behind Culpepper for a year. It's going to be at least a few years before this team is decent enough to take a risk like that. Good gravy.

I know. Stupid, just stupid.

If I am picking a QB, much less in the first, with the first, he surely wouldn't becoming from a spread/option, wouldn't be coming from Cal, and would not be a Junior passing less than 60%. Thats a fact. Just too many failures in the past to convince me to do otherwise.
