Warren Sapp Should Be Fired For His 'snitch' Comments

There is a big difference between a snitch and a whistleblower. This from a guy that's been to prison multiple times.

And anyone that says "snitches get stitches" in regards to this particular case is an idiot and I want to punch you in the throat.

Not going to lie thats a hard question to answer for me. I have a very small core group of friends and fam that i would kill/die for. But if its someone i don't know or some co-worker that i've known for just a couple of years i could maybe turn him over. Also if the company that i worked for was doing something underhanded i don't think i could bite the hand that feeds you know. Again the way i grow up was harsh. Not saying that i'm the only one but i had to do what i had to do to get by. So i tend to turn a blind eye when i see people bending rules because i've been there.

might part of the reason be that it was so harsh because of how loyalty to a group of people was valued above a greater good?

the fact that none of us are completely innocent is one of many things that make it hard to do the right thing and it's something that those who are doing wrong will be quick to point out to you to keep you from turning them in.

society is only hurt when people are allowed to do wrong... when people and organizations are allowed to continue to hurt people because of loyalty or fear of reprisal.

i've seen enough bad in this world and enough bad effects on people physically and emotionally because of evil that was allowed to continue because someone didn't act to stop it. most of what i've seen comes from people who were raped and/or abused...or from those whose lives were destroyed by drugs/alcohol because someone wouldn't get involved and turned a blind eye.

it's not an easy thing to do at all and it doesn't come without consequences. it could damage some relationships...probably quite a few and it could even wreck a career, but it's ultimately worth it, imo. it's a sacrifice that should be made.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)

Shockey meeting with lawyers?

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/23/signs-currently-point-to-a-lawsuit-from-shockey/

Former Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey has been saying plenty of about Warren Sapp’s contention that Shockey blew the whistle on the team’s three-year bounty system. Shockey was scheduled to appear on Friday’s edition of the The Dan Patrick Show to talk about it some more.

When the time came for Shockey’s interview, the man described in the ESPN book as the best booker in the history of television, Todd Fritz, told Dan that Shockey is in a meeting and may not be available.

Ultimately, Shockey didn’t show. Ultimately, it was disclosed that Shockey was meeting with a lawyer. (We also made a request for an appearance from Shockey on PFT Live. We were told that Shockey would still be in his meeting.)
