Panthers Had A Bounty On Brett Favre

Obviously nothing would come of this now because it happend a more than a decade ago and theres probably not any evidence.

But if this was going on the past couple of years with the panthers and there was evidence you think the players would get off easy because "oh well least the coaches werent involved"

The only difference would be that the coaches wouldnt get suspended if they knew nothing about it. Dont think for a moment that theyd be let off the hook. Lying about it or what have you has nothing to do with it. Its about protecting the players and every single statement from goodell has confirmed that.

No that's not what I'm saying... if it came out now that ANY teams players were doing bounties, then I'm sure the NFL would come down on them just like they're going to punish the Saints* players for this. Bounties are not right, no matter who is doing it... what I'm saying is that it's much worse that the coaches actually RAN the program, encouraged players to injure opposing players and LIED to the NFL about all of it. The defense is "everybody does it" when CLEARLY no one was doing it the way the Saints* were doing it.

It would be hilarious if John Fox got suspended bc of a dumb Frank the fillerbuster Garcia rant on WFNZ.

Garcia was voted by players as one of the dirtiest players in the NFL back in the day..him and Rodney Harrison.

That would be hilarious considering that Dom Capers was the coach for the 1996 Championship game.

I have no doubts that the Panthers have had bounty systems in the past. I would be shocked if it hasn't occured on every pro team.

The saints were just dumb enough to get caught, and then even dumber to keep doing it when the commish told them to stop.

The punishment given to the Saints was not so much about bounties (as the commish would have you think), as it was about lying to the NFL. No team, owner, GM, coach, or player is greater than the shield and when you challenge that, you are going to get your a** handed to you.

couldn't have happened to a trashier group of fans and organization.

I can't wait for the saints-panthers game in Charlotte this year. I will be personally putting bounty paper towel sheets on every saints fan I pass on my way to my seat.
