Schefty Tweets Tebow Gets To Pick Between Jags And Jets

I would've thought Elway would've just done this to begin with. I mean, you're getting chicken scratch in return so what does it really matter? I freakin' hate The Golden Calf of Bristol and I'd like to see him be able to go where he wants after getting the shaft in Denver.

9:53 pm from sports center

For the second time Wednesday, Denver has agreed to trade The Golden Calf of Bristol and a 2012 seventh-round draft pick to the New York Jets for a fourth- and sixth-round pick in April's draft.

The deal was halted earlier due to language in The Golden Calf of Bristol's contract relating to prepaid bonuses and salary, but the Jets have agreed to pay half of the $5 million in compensation back to Denver to finish the trade, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

I really have no idea why The Golden Calf of Bristol would want to go to NYJ over the chance to play where he'd be loved by the fans unconditionally and have a much easier path to the starting job in his hometown?

Then again, as I mentioned earlier... I think Ryan may have spoken with The Golden Calf of Bristol and I've got a feeling that he's let him know how much they would like him there. Ryan is a very loyal guy, obviously passionate, and he loves tough guys and winners. I'm guessing that gave NY the edge.

Easy. Gabbert is the Jags starting QB and they are going to stick with him and develop him. The Golden Calf of Bristol knows Sanchez might be the only other QB in the league that sucks worse than himself.

Without letting our opposite opinions on him skew this convo, and objectively speaking, I think it would be much easier to supplant a horrible sophomore QB versus a mediocre QB who was at the helm of two teams that made it to the AFCCG and whom just signed a huge extension.

    • The issue is the formula is secret, and it incorporates runs... So... Yup, it does. Same with PFF (which isn't quite as secret). But when it doesn't - like on Sunday - it's often to hilarious results. PFF is more reliable I think at matching my 'eye' test.
    • According to the talking heads of the sports world, this is a pretty meh QB class.  Sanders and Ward are the only two with first round buzz, but the rest are blah.  Take that for what you will. Let's see how Bryce does in year three.  That's just where we are.  Patience is the key here.  Players need time to develop.  They can't develop if they don't play.  Bryce has made some really good throws, but he doesn't look like CJ Stroud.  That's going to be his point of comparison the rest of their careers.  The ball doesn't explode off Bryce's hand, it's not a cannon ball shot out of a cannon.  He's not going to break a 70 yard run.   Bryce is going to have to continue to make good throws and make plays.  Part of that is going to depend on the play calls.  Part of it is based on the skill players.  A couple drops picked up yesterday and it's a win and Bryce throws 1-2 more TDs.  A completely different story. It's been a crazy year indeed.  I just want to see Bryce continue to develop.  To see XL become more consistent.  To see JT fully recover (not play this season if he's not healthy).  I want to see Coker continue to make plays.  I'd love to see Brooks get more touches and Chubba continue to hammer defenses. Then this approaching offseason, let's go back to the D and work on fixing it.
    • Prime is already gone boss.  Nothing left for team Sanders in college football.
