Saints Fan Silliness

A part of me almost feels something that maybe a hint of pity for them. I mean they waited what 30 years for a trophy and now everytime the 09 Saints are mentioned, bountygate will either be mentioned as well or istantly come to mind but not spoken. It forever will be tarnished.

Nevermind. It's only fitting the Taints* lone trophy is tainted.

i have never seen a troll get that butthurt before. he's not even just internet hurt, he's real-life butthurt. he is literally lying in bed awake at night stewing in anger and sweat and working over revenge scenarios in his mind

Yeah, I figured you would come to the same conclusion that I did.

Im guessing he's sitting at his computer in his Underoos waving his fist in the air. I wonder if he wears a cape or like maybe . . I dunno. . a helmet.

Reported on ESPN today that the other 31 owners are pretty squarely behind the discipline that's been handed down on the Saints.

But I'm sure a Facebook campaign will have more influence than that

Someone on FB posted an article stating that Goodell said, at the meetings today, if Payton files an appeal, he would probably let him coach while they were going through the appeal.

here's the link.

Goodell reportedly gave Payton till April 2nd to appeal, and said he would "expedite" the process which likely means it'd be quick, and - I suspect - the result unchanged.

Michael David Smith posted on PFT that the Saints organization continued lying to the NFL even into the past few weeks (link) so I have a hard time believing Goodell will be inclined to ease up on them.

Seriously, how ridiculous are these guys to think they can get away with this stuff?

Here's what is ironic. This "punishment" that "Godell" tried to use to cripple the Saints is having just the opposite effect. The Saints have have made some of the most shrewd moves of any team in the NFL all during this so called "dark time". Everyone thought Colston was gone, yet he was kept. Everyone thought losing Nicks would kill the line yet they sign a player in Grubbs who is considered a better more mobile fit for the Saints. They have signed Lofton who was by far the leading tackler of the Falcons and arguably their best defensive player. They signed Brodrick Bunkley who was considered the best 4-3 run stuffing DT on the market. Not to mention they picked up Chris Chamberlain an up and coming linebacker who will compete for playing time. The only losses that the Saints have been hit with is Robert Meechum who had a sub par year last year and Tracey Porter who was basically beat out last year by Patrick Ramsey. Rumor has it that Brees signing will come within the next 2 weeks. Last but not least the Whodat nation is more passionate then any time in their history. They will be more loud and more vocal at home on the road and the team will play with a chip on it's shoulder like never before. Those who think that proposed "suspensions" will have some type of negative impact don't understand that the players that were so called involved like Hargrove, Sharper, McRay, Aydoele are no longer with the team and if Vilma is hit he will easily be replaced by Lofton. Lastly, the idea of Parcells coming in for a year would be incredible and even if he doesn't missing Payton for a year will not have the impact that some think. He has laid the groundwork and a solid base and the team would not miss a beat. Amazing what seemed like a week or so ago seemed so dark now has turned into an exciting future!
