Saints Fan Silliness

Can you imagine what it is going to be like when Goodell has to award the Saints the Super Bowl Trophy IN NEW ORLEANS this season? WOW how crazy will that be?

Did you write that in the espn nfc south forum as well? I mean, I wouldn't mind if you copy pasted it since the majority of Saints fans will be spending most of September getting their Patriots and Cowboys jersey's from the closet. oh yeah WHO DERP!

my current favorite is an ongoing discussion on how their owner is either the second or MAYBE the third most respected and influential owner in the league and if he threatened to try to oust goodell it might start this huge insurrection and topple goliath.

my god can an entire fanbase truly be so collectively delusional? this is unreal, it's like the the truman show or something. everyone is in on the secret but them.

heres a fun thread exonerating sean payton from all wrongdoing

If Sean is to be exonerated in all of this I think it will need to be some type of landmark, yet to be known, revelation. If I was an investigator trying to work some of the more private things; things that would require a subpoena to gain possession of, I'd prolly try to get one for the e-mail records that would show if-- indeed-- the e-mail was opened.

Wouldn't getting that kind of information be unavailable to the league without a subpoena? I think that would be info that would require some sort of legally compelling evidence that was so strong a judge would have to grant it. I dunno for sure but believe that's true. I've not read of any kind of law matters other than Senator Durbin's intensifying of the issue. It's not something that goes lightly or away easily if the Senate Judiciary Committee decides that they want to enact a new Federal law.

No doubt, IF that info is private, and it requires a subpoena issued by a judge, then that e-mail becomes evidence #1 for starting out with Senate interviews. Think: Bonds or McGuire when imagining Senate questioning.

If Sean is still found to be knowing of this and trying to hide it could get way worse.

Then again, that e-mail may never even have been opened. That would be a huge piece of evidence to put Sean as an unknown party.

But what then of Vitt? The reports are that one of Vitt's primary duties was to monitor Williams' activities and report back to Sean.

This is turning into a Who Dunnit because Williams already-- at least partly-- deflected blame back towards Sean with his "nasty" remark.

Say for example Vitt did actually keep it under his hat AND secret from Sean? Then does 6 games suspended from the team seem like the wrath of the commissioner relative to Sean's penalty? What if Vitt did report and it was, at the top level, tolerated and hidden? Then could you see how the Commish laid out his punishment-- justified or bogus-- for Sean like he did? The man getting smashed is Sean and the commish still believes he hasn't come clean.

I'll state this for the record: if this goes to the Senate for investigation the whole world will eventually know the truth. Who Dunnit indeed.

The same owner that thought San Antonio was a really really nice town?
