Well, the GM just got suspended for half the season, so they better get to working it out with someone else instead. You realize that your logic is flawed right?

GM suspension doesn't begin till start of Season in 6 months. All his most important work is done right now so there is not real effect by that. Try again!

Why would they trade Brees, are you new to nfl? The Brees deal is close to being done and will be done before July at latest.

Absolutely not, Benson has publicly said he completely backs up Payton and Loomis 100%! He has reiterated that multiple times. Benson is a billionaire that is 294 on the Forves 500 list, saving $8 mill on salaries is not a big deal to him. In fact, I would be Benson gets Payron some financial help by advancing him money from 2013 contract if he is in need.

Yeah things publicly said by NFL owners are always true and they never change their minds.

Also the reason Benson is so rich is because of how cheap he is (nothing wrong with that as most of the NFL owners including JR are as well). He very well can afford to pay those salaries but that doesn't mean he's going to like it.

What do you mean by that? I have been a Panthers fan, since 1996, had season tickets the year they went to the superbowl( I have a framed picture of Ricky Prohel on my wall making the catch from Jake Delhomme to win that game against Jacksonville in the 1st game....I was sitting near the endzone on the 11th row and saw that catch!), and have read this forum everyday, multiple times a day, for about a year. I have a full sized Panthers helmet sitting on my shelf in my office, a signed framed picture of Mike Minter, and a desktop wallpaper of Cam Newton on my computer. I just don't post alot, lol. I have been a member of another panthers forum since 1998, but lately it has been real slow , so I came here last year. I am a real fan. (Member Since 14 Aug 2011). ;)

hey guys brees' contract is so close to being finished that they should have it done in FOUR MONTHS

Actually, most people believe the contract will be done in the next week and was waiting for bounty news to come out first. The point is the total amount of contract is not the issue, that is correct, it's the amount of first 3 years. Saints will end up paying what it takes but it makes no difference if it gets signed tomorrow or July 1st as far as affecting tag use for subsequent years.
