Those of you talking about word processing with a touch screen, what if you had a wireless keyboard paired with it to make it more laptop like? Would you the think that you had the best of both devices?

For simple stuff like checking e-mail or basic net surfing it saves me the trouble of having to fire up my computer.

i took the dive into the tablet world earlier this week with an interest in modding in mind. I took a 199$ B&N Nook Tablet 8gb and made it into a 32gb android tab with full android market/apps....took me 15 min...lol

the girlfriend got an ipad2 free from her work for participating in some extra projects......and with the modifications I have made, she constantly wants to play with mine............. :blush:

LOVE IT. I have no interest in proprietary content and I could write about how much I loathe the Apple brand...but that would bore or upset some of you so I will refrain.

If you don't want all the bells and whistles and are a frequent customer of amazon, I have a friend that has a kindle fire and for the price, pretty hard to beat.

If you want to do real computing and things like that, stick with a laptop. you can get a really nice laptop for cheaper than you can get a higher end iPad.
