Tebow As Our Backup Qb

Toker Smurf

Recommended Posts

Yeah who wouldn't want a guy who completes 46.5% of his passes to back up a guy who completes 60% of his passes.

A guy who has a passer rating of 72.9 to back a guy whose passer rating is 84.5

A guy who averages 124 yards per game to back a guy who averages 253 yards per game

A guy who needs a great defense to win, to back up a guy who played behind an awful defense but still won games.

The back up guy sounds really good....... <_<

What is it you guys think The Golden Calf of Bristol does well that would help us? or anyone?. . I guess as long as we're discussing it.

I thought the Fightin Tebowses story was hilarious last year and loved every minute of it, but I still dont get the praise on him. He's learning and he wants to learn, thats a start, but what does he do well right now that you think would be good for us?

umm he won a playoff gm, that's a start. He could also bring some emotion to the team

The "Derp playoff win derp" is such a stupid argument it's not even funny, and secondly if there's any team lacking for emotion it's sure as hell not the Panthers.

Yeah, but so did Shaun King and Jay Fiedler and that didn't exactly make them great quarterbacks.

I'm against it because I'm sure their intertwined histories would result in all sorts of drama. Cam just looks over at him and says stuff like "Hey man, do you think I was better than you in college too?"

Remember...Whereever The Golden Calf of Bristol goes, so does his rabid fans. Can you imagine the back and forth on this site between the The Golden Calf of Bristol fans and Panther and Cam fans when they want to convince this site that The Golden Calf of Bristol should be starting QB instead of Cam...Oh my...

Since everybody knows how he plays... teams know what they will be getting into if they trade for him. How many teams in the league will really want that added media BS that will come with The Golden Calf of Bristol? I say not many if any...maybe Jacksonville. I bet he stays in Denver.

    • Hope Koch recovers (he’s stated numerous times he doesn’t like to be called “koochie”) soon. But he does not instill confidence in the crease. I don’t have any confidence in any of our goalies, healthy or not. Andersen when available gives us the best chance to win but he’s never available.    Team has to explore trade options soon.
    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
