Why would anyone want their team to arguably be the worst in NBA history?

I mean, do you not even realize the NBA doesn't just hand the worst team the 1st pick?

The B**cats will end up getting hosed by some team (most likely the Hornets) and they'll draft Anthony Johnson and we'll get some guy who ends up being overhyped out of college and can't keep up in the NBA... (Dwight Howard/Emeka Okafor 2.0)

I will be highly surprised if we end up getting the 1st pick.

Not since 2004, when Orlando won and grabbed Howard, has the team with the worst record landed the top pick.

NBA own the New Orleans Hornets, Im guessing the NBA will rig it where the Hornets win 1st pick, mainly to make the team more attractive so someone would finally buy it from NBA.

Either by winning or losing rest of theirs games Bobcats will be extremely lucky to get 1st pick.

Yea, but that was not their #1 pick.... I believe that was the clippers pick they received from them... the cleveland pick ended up being #4 I think.

The Clippers traded Baron Davis and their first round pick to Cleveland for Mo Williams and Jamario Moon (I think), And of course that pick became the first overall pick in the draft. Cleveland own pick was 4th.
