Then you are pretending. The article said what everyone in the sport world knows. When you are on your last year of your contract and a good player and cannot be resigned, then you could be traded. It happens every day in football, basketball and baseball. You just don't want to accept the premise.

Because if we sign Tolbert, we won't need 3 good RB's. Stewart's contract is running out and we probably wont be able to resign him because of William's contract. My head hurts.

Dwill's contact is what it is. Stew is still under a rookie contract.

Goodson's number is about 650k I think, maybe we save 500k if we release him?

The problem is is Hurney set the bar ridiculously high with DWill's contarct, would JStew re-up next year for any less?
