I don't get why signing a guy, probably on the cheap, to help out special teams and maybe contribute on offense is ever a bad thing.

I mean what free agent that has been signed so far would you have rather had? Just look at the contracts being offered to some of these players to understand why patience is much more important than just trying to go for big names.

When we already don't have that much money, it makes no sense to sign someone at your strongest position. It just makes trying to improve your weaknesses that much harder.

It looks like he's going to sign, expect him to sign on Monday. The question is for how much and how long the contract is.

I can see how he can fit on the team, without getting rid of Stewart or Williams...However, I don't understand Hurney's logic in signing him when we have other dire needs. This is just more evidence of Hurney's incompetence and how he should've gotten the boot along with Fox. His logic is old and outdated. Teams can't rely on scrubs and think they are going anywhere the following season in today's league...Hurney has a lot to prove to me this offseason before I consider him a decent GM again. Because right now at this point he's still terrible.

Overpowering force on offense, If we have a healthy defense with a few decent adds in the draft and over the summer. This team wil be unstoppable. I know you don't want to believe that....but it gonna happen. ;)

I am one of the few, who actually trust Hurney.

But this one has me scratching my head.

He would be a beast in the triple option we run.

This does pretty much guarantee Goodson's eventual exit.

I don't know why would would use more cap room for this though. If we are 25 mil under the cap, then I might could handle it. But this... is really freaking weird.

I don't see how we keep all three. Maybe we are thinking we are going to revolutionize the league with a new offense.
