Tolbert is a bruising back like Stewart, but doesn't have the same production.

Stewart 2011: 142 carries, 761 yards and four td's.

Tolbert 2011: 121 carries, 490 yards and nine td's. (he always gets the ball in goal-line situations)

I still think the only reason his name is linked to Carolina is because of the ex-Charger coaches on staff and the willingness we've had to give former Chargers a good look. This seems like all speculation, no inside info coupled with his agent being coy by using the old "no comment" to infer interest. That happens when these agents try to milk every last dollar out of agreements.
