Playoff loss leaves Delhomme motivated for 2009

Jake wouldn't look at his options, he kept staring the single man down like he has his whole career. Then he'd make a bad throw into coverage, he wouldn't read the entire field.. just the receiver of his intened throw. It reminded me of a Neil O'Donnell.

LBF tell me what Jake's record is against TB? I know in RJ stadium he is 5-1. Not bad for a QB that can't read defenses?

Might seem bottom of the barrel to you but that is because they are over your head. You think in the now I think in the future and this deal screwed us in the future.

For the fans of this deal...I have a scenario for you.

What on earth does Fox and Hurney do if we start the year 0-3 and Jake is playing as poorly as he did in the playoff game. Do you bench a QB that you just gave a 5 year 40+ million contract too??? Do you cut him after the year??? How are we going to absorb that cap hit???

This deal has put this franchise on thin ice as pertains to the next 3-5 years.

It's 8-2....but according to him that's not important because they have a Super Bowl ring and we don't. He is ok with losing to us as long as we don't win a Super Bowl. (????)

I don't know the particulars of this deal but the likelihood that Jake sees this contract to an end is very slim. Our front office knows what they are doing. This was only done to create cap space.

I seriously doubt that they would jeapordize the future to extend him for 5+ years.

What bothers me most about this guy is the fact that he professes to be unbiased yet he constantly corrupts every thread with his hatred of Jake, Peppers, and whomever else we seem to be discussing.

It is different if Panther fans display their hatred but this guy does it just to stir the pot.

Go Panthers

sounds like a man on a mission....

I would hope so, your QB really stunk it up at home in the playoffs last year, coming from a Falcons fan please thank your front office for locking him up five more years.

I think I echo the thoughts of 99% of Falcons fans.
