WHA PART OF "without those TWO come from behind wins" we would HAVE NOT EVEN BEEN IN THE PLAYOFFS do you not understand.

No matter how good our team was, without those two wins we would have never played in January

Congrats Jake for 2 games last year?

You can say that about a multiple of different plays and players.

Which QB would you have extended then???

12-4

Delhomme was responsible for us having that record.

If you dont believe me then go RE-WATCH the 1st game and the last game.

BOTH GAMES Delhomme won from behind and in the last minutes.

If it wasent for Delhomme our year would not have been as good as it was, plain and simple, no matter how bad you want to believe otherwise.

Are we talking about the same San Diego game where Delhomme clearly admitted he heaved it up for grabs and thought it was a failed pass attempt?

...or the New Orleans game Smith sprung up 15 feet in the air to catch a high throw?

it takes two to tango and it takes a TEAM to win a game. Now in some games last year, Delhomme was a large reason we won some, he was a large reason we LOST some, and other games he just complemented the running backs.

Jake Delhomme THREW those passes didnt he?

Thats how history recorded it, so no matter what happens, without that (counter factual speculation) Delhomme WON us those games....

Not to mention about 20 other come from behind wins in his career here.

This board is just spoiled and immature when it comes to football.

people here act like ware some damn dynasty when in reality we are just now discovering who we are as a team.

How would you like to be the 49'rs- Browns- Bills- Cowboys- Chiefs- Dolphins- and many other teams who had a history of BEING GREAT but are no longer feared.

Our past is still being defined.

be patient.

DAMN.

Everything you said can be said the exact same way for the guys that caught the ball.

Without Rosario and Smith we wouldn't have won those games because they had the ability to leap and fight for the ball. They won those 2 games for us!....

See, 2 can play that game.

And I find it VERY ironic you are the one calling people immature and idiots.

AK, you of all people are talking about being patient when the past 4 years you've been talking all about how Trgocrap needed to go and yadda yadda yadda.

HOF? That's fuging immaterial

and spoiled? We're not spoiled, we just expect something out of the team. This organization needs to stop being so fuging complacent. And it is, it only starts with this contract extension, seeing how they were ready and willing to let Trgocrap come back. WE don't change things, by our own accord. We keep everything the same for fear that "It could get worse", which is a bullshit way to conduct business. The teams that make it are the ones who take calculated risks. ...some risks are completely necessary. The very team we say we "emulate" knows how to deal. I think if Hurney/Fox/Delhomme didn't have their hands so far up each others' asses, we might just be something after all. Trent Dilfer won a superbowl with Baltimore, but I didn't see them crown his ass and anoint him unquestioned starter for the next fuging century.

I can be just as positive as the next person and to me, a lot of areas of our game look good right now...

...but this move was just PLAIN. fuging. STUPID. Just stupid. Naive, impulsive, stupid. And it's going to most likely fug us over, all because of this lovefest this organization has with "OUR GUY". People are afraid of knee-jerk reactions going one way, well this was a knee-jerk reaction in itself, going the opposite way.

I want us to at least try to win a superbowl.

I don't know, I think it's just the fuging "yankee" in me that makes me this way, but I expect poo to happen, and I don't like fuging excuses.
