Just read on twitter Jim Thomas ( Rams Beat Writer ) that Brown wants the weekend to think about signing with the Panthers after their meeting today..

Im sure he would really love to play for us, but my guess is that we can't give him the amount of money he is used to. So he has to consider the drop in pay he may get or retire and focus on his family as well as possible other personal issues. Or see if another team can offer him something high enough to meet where he thinks he should be. Him saying he needs the weekend to think about it is better than him going to visit another team right away, so I don't think it's that last option.

We aren't going to overpay a dude that is right outside the prime of his career. Him being on arguably the worst offensive line last year doesn't help. We should give him a contract with a lot of work incentives in it. If he gets back to the old Brown, he deserves it.

If Richard Marshall can get 18 mill for 3 years. Anything can happen. Hell, a person that was placed on IR midway through the season last year got 50 mill guaranteed today.
