Connor to the Cowgirls

Not sure what they want from him. My guess is competition and depth. Nagy should start at G and maybe even Kosier with at least one int OL drafted. We got burned last year with our depth.

Send us a center, too.

Is your OL going to be as good as usual? BTW, Cam is something else.

It can be good if Jeff Otah comes back like he did right after we drafted him. The man is made of glass. We can only hope.

Sorry, we got dibs on Kalil. He's arguably the most important player on our entire roster.

how good is your depth at guard? if there's one thing bernadeau was decent it was playing left guard. he played the position in camp and then a couple times throughout the season, unless my memory fails me. he's a facepalm at tackle. never seen him play center.

i don't know enough about the cowboys' defensive schemes to know how they plan on using connor, but his biggest flaw is that he lacks the quickness to get from sideline to sideline. dude gets straight abused on stretch plays because even if he reacts quickly enough - which isn't a safe bet in and of itself - he can't pursue fast enough to keep the back from rounding the corner. this was one of his big knocks in the draft, and probably one of the reasons he fell to us in the first place. stiff hip motion, lack of lateral quickness.

also i hate your team and cam is going to go grim reaper on your asses this season. :cheers2:

Thanks. The OL is not a strong point but its difficult to say where it will be this year. We had poor depth last year on the interior. Well, at tackle as well. Our center was our weakest position on the OL. Good run blocker and poor pass. Kosier is serviceable but had plantar fasciitis and was out too much. Holland was cut then brought back and was serviceable. Dockery was a mockery. Kowalski was a rookie who looked promising. Nagy was a rookie that may start this year. Arkin is from a small school but very athletic and may surprise this year. So there is some hope but I'll be surprised if they are much better than decent on the interior. We're looking for a C but not sure we can afford one. Free had an off year last year and will be moved to RT where he should be ok. Smith was very promising and will move to LT. Parnell is the swing tackle with no experience but is prototypical and very athletic. Maybe one Pro Bowler and the rest journeymen at best.

Your comment about Bernadeau is interesting. I had penciled in Nagy at LG. Maybe Bernadeau will compete there. I saw the signing as depth and competition. Maybe he will surprise us.

I'm from Carolina but substantially predate the Panthers. Heck even the Falcons. But I get a lot of your games. Cam is remarkable. He is going to be scary good. And it won't surprise me to get our butts handed to us either.

I think you're spot on about Connor. We see him as a thumper at SILB but not an asset in coverage. He will see spot duty and provide depth. I'm guessing Sean Lee spoke up for him but I don't know that.

I thought people had penciled in Kalil to MN. Have you guys moved up?

Anyone else pissed at how cheap the Cowboys got Connor? We should have at the very least matched that BS offer.

2 Years, $6.5mil, $2.7mil guaranteed.

If we only matched he probably still would have left to have a chance to start. I think we could get Wesley Woodyard, a guy that could take over WLB, for similar numbers or slightly more.
