Yea true that... atleast your ground game was so effective under the right circumstance when both teams were healthy. Crazy stuff right there. I mean, the run game being that ineffective mixed with Jake's 3 INTs... thats something to forget too I suppouse.

Why did you avoid my question?

Oh yea, a cornerback matches up great against a stud halfback in the open field lol... very favorable odds..

Jovan Haye

Chris Hovan (played but ineffective from being beat up)

Derrick Brooks (almost missed the first game in his career from his hammy)

Barrett Ruud (had documented cases of having the flu all week)

Jermaine Phillps (had a busted forearm)

Yea, the Panters ripped right through the healthy Bucs defense. It was so hard to run through guys who rode the bench all year.

So they were only missing Jovan Haye.

Yup, all that and Fox was still in the "make it to the playoffs now" hot seat.

Wonder why?

They went all in for their jobs this last year, and we went 12-4, which was good.

I do believe the point is/was to keep winning, and maintain the winning records more consistently.

which means why make drastic changes from a winning formula. they feel at 12-4 they are close and making a change at the critical position such as QB isn't necessary unless the perfect solution was offered

Phillips and Haye didn't play. Phillips was in the box the entire game the 1st game, trust me thats a big change in the gameplan when you can't stack the box the same way. Brooks shouldn't have even played and as you seen, he did nothing and lost his job too because of his pride. Cato was never much of a run stopper but I won't count him.

Its like fighting a legend in their prime, and then facing the washed up 60 year old guy who thinks he still has it... it in no way compares. Carolina's defense was healthy and still got abused by an anemic offense that game.

Ruud didn't have his regular stamina and closing burst that he typically showed... when your going through a bad case of the flu and forcing yourself to play, yea.. your going to dog out on making an impact.

Don't count on a huge ground game again this season...

Quit with the bullsh*t excuses. You guys got pounded and you know it. If they were on the field, then they were healthy enough to be out there and be productive, if not, then they wouldn't have been out there. Our team kicked your team's ass in that game, plain and simple.

Yea but they have been close before.

I don't like our history with QB's so I want the FO to do better in that area, maybe they will, but I am not assuming they will.

I would like to see us get his definite replacement, even if we have to groom him. Next year seems like a good time to me.

It is clear they are sold on Delhomme, I am not, which is the only reason there is a debate anyway.

I realize we had to extend him, the amount he is getting is the only issue I have with that.
