Give me 10 current QB's

Okay, you guys changed my mind... forget about the MVP worthy performance in the Super Bowl, leading us to two more NFC championships, having a winning record and a better career passer rating then Troy Aikman, Bart Starr, Jim Kelly, Roger Staubach, Warren Moon, Johnny Unitas, John Elway, Dan Fouts, etc... Jake SUCKS... Matt Moore is our savior, or maybe Pat-never-played-a-down-in-the-NFL-White?

Anyone but Jake, A.B.J.... it's actually kind of catchy! We should rename this forum to the official ANYONE BUT JAKE discussion board.

/end sarcasm.

We have forgotten that, and you should too, it's not happening anymore with him.

Your non sense about passer rating is only a post to prove how stupid that stat is to judge QB's by :smilielol5:

And if you doubt me, check this link: https://www.profootballhof.com/history/story.jsp?story_id=2356

...Jake Delhomme, 20th best passer rating ALL-TIME. Only a fool would suggest we dump Jake in favor of any other QB available to us right now... backup, draft, FA, or otherwise.

Yea, guess who else shows up on that list.

Daunte Culpepper

Brian Griese

Jeff Garcia

Brett Favre

When will people understand generalized stats like these have little bearing on how good these QBs will do?

From Killercat:

"You're just like all the other apologists that don't blame Jake for his own actions."

And you continue to show that you can't comprehend what you read. No one has been harder on Jake than myself for the Cards game, a search of these boards by you or any other so inclined will bear that out. That one undeniably horrible game doesn't wash out the success the team had, under JAKE, for the entire season. Jake was a top 10 QB for the 2008 season. I've seen the stupid references to Grossman, among others. Grossman wasn't all bad the year the Bears went to the SB. NO TEAM wins consitently over a season IN SPITE of their QB! That's not being an apologist, that's pointing out the obvious! That's common sense..

Of course they are on that list, it's "Ratings for every NFL quarterback who has recorded 1,500 career attempts".

I'm not saying the QB rating is the end-all-be-all measure of a QB, but it is one of the generally accepted ways to measure the performance of a QB.

While everyone is scowering books, web-sites, and engraved stone tablets for info that makes Jake look like Ghandi, can someone please throw up his stats from the last game he played. I believe it was a HUGE playoff game that matterd? Anyone?

Heck throw his stats up for the last 3 years and it would help your argument.

As a fan of statistics, (and my sister has a doctorate in them), I don't see what that has to do with the argument at all. It's just too small a sampling to draw any conclusions whatsoever. Any statistical analyst will tell you that, any one...

Again, I'm not a fan of Delhomme, I'm just not stupid enough to want him out at all costs without a viable option to replace him...

My point was that he doesnt win the games that count. He won some in the past but recently he has been a disapointment. I have no problem with Delhomme staying around for the next couple seasons. But I think he will become a back-up either in 2010 or 2011. Hes knowledgeable and knows the system, but is past his prime. He has great stats from the past but I care about one thing. Getting a Super Bowl tittle to Charlotte and Delhomme has proved that in the games that count, he cant go the distance.

Though I disagree with you in principle, I agree with you in premise. It is time to look for a replacement no doubt, but I still think that Delhomme can come thru in big games. As long as he has a better record in the playoffs than any other QB in the history of the playoffs, I'll continue to believe that, despite his meltdown last year...

Yeha but his last 2 playoff games have been blowouts.
