please stop.... ur being retarded with no excuse.....

"u whiney bitches dont understand how hard it is to win in the NFL"

Thats more of the elite talk I mentioned in the other thread..."we dont understand" like your the God of football who knows everything. You and some others (you know who you are)...wether you notice it or not tend to talk down to people who dont agree with you.

Everyone who wants Jake out of here does not understand the game. They do not know how the buisness works or have any idea what a salary cap is. Us the fans opinion means nothing and we are stupid for voicing such opinions.....and elite jake lovers who are also fans- only have VIP words from the heavens .

You people knew we would be pissed at this move and why shouldnt we be. This has only been said a million times....WE LOST FAITH IN JAKE LONG BEFORE THIS PLAYOFF GAME.

Dont expect us to like this stupid ass discision to give him 20 million for a piss poor performance.

Why did we have to pay him that much money??!! Other teams must have been kicking our doors down to try get get him right?? NOT!!!

"If we had someone better at QB, we might not have been embarassed on our home turf by a QB that decides to have the worst game of his career."

Yeah killercat, we MIGHT not have been, but maybe we would have. We don't know! Oh, and yes, he DECIDED to have the worst night of his life. Real insightful there. No one argues the value our running game brought, and no one argues that, based on how the playoff game turned out, it was all wasted. But Jake managed all that, as far as utilizing the running game during the season! I ask one and all, is there any evidence it was Jake who abandoned the running game in the Cards game? If that answer is yes, I may reassess. But until that is shown, I stand by my evaluation of him.

Regardless though, Jake led the team to a 12-4 record. That is no accident. You want to dismiss that, that is your perogative. The running game doesn't work without a credible passing threat, and vice versa. You want to be hung up on stats, again, that's your perogative, but with those oh-so bad stats, we were 12-4. That fact doesn't go away. Belittle that all you want, but it's a fact.

You're just like all the other apologists that don't blame Jake for his own actions. Instead you'd rather blame playcalling for the reason he turned the ball over SIX TIMES! I didn't see Davidson out there to slap the ball out of Jake's hands for a turnover. I didn't see Davidson out there pointing to Delhomme where to throw the ball. Delhomme did that on his own! It was no one else's fault. It's hard to get anything going when your QB is constantly turning the ball over and digging us a deeper hole. Im sick and tired of blame being put else where for Jake's own mistakes. That is what you like to do and so this conversation can go no further.

38 last years and had 6 ints all season while Jake had 6 turnovers in one game. People performing at Jeff's ability is rare at his age. Jake will fall off the horse before he even hits 38 as he's on his last leg right now.

How was that finish 0-4? 6 ints only because he can't throw the ball further than 10 yds at a time.

I wouldn't take J. Garcia over Jake even in is prime.

You are an idiot and time to petition the group to have you banned. You trash every thread regardless of what it is about.

WHY ARE WE ALLOWING THIS TROLL TO HANG AROUND IN OUR FORUM????

Okay, you guys changed my mind... forget about the MVP worthy performance in the Super Bowl, leading us to two more NFC championships, having a winning record and a better career passer rating then Troy Aikman, Bart Starr, Jim Kelly, Roger Staubach, Warren Moon, Johnny Unitas, John Elway, Dan Fouts, etc... Jake SUCKS... Matt Moore is our savior, or maybe Pat-never-played-a-down-in-the-NFL-White?

Anyone but Jake, A.B.J.... it's actually kind of catchy! We should rename this forum to the official ANYONE BUT JAKE discussion board.

/end sarcasm.

And if you doubt me, check this link: https://www.profootballhof.com/history/story.jsp?story_id=2356

...Jake Delhomme, 20th best passer rating ALL-TIME. Only a fool would suggest we dump Jake in favor of any other QB available to us right now... backup, draft, FA, or otherwise.

We were 12-4 last year. How does that NOT make Jake a top 10 OB at this time? Please don't tell me QB ratings, that is a flawed, stupid assessment for a QB. As of the start of the 2008 season, Jake was the 17th GREATEST QB EVER per the QB rating system. I DO NOT agree with THAT assessment, but my point is how flawed the overall rating system is! The Pro Football Hall of Fame site below spells that out...

http://www.profootballhof.com/history/story.jsp?story_id=2658

Anyone who goes to that site will notice, if they're observant enough, the absence of QBs who actually WON world championships like Otto Graham, Bart Starr, Terry Bradshaw, Roger Staubach, John Elway, Bob Griese, and the most egregious omission of all, Johnny U! Not to mention Sid Luckman, Norm Van Brocklin, and Sammy Baugh (yes, some of them performed BEFORE there was a Super Bowl, but it was THE world championshp none the less!). You don't go 12-4 without having a decent QB! He might not be THE best, but he's a good fit here. My knock continues to be his lack of improvement as far as his mechanics go, as successful as his overall starting record is, I believe it would be MUCH better if he executed play fakes and pump fakes more effectively, not to mention if the team introduced an element of 'razzle dazzle' and surprise to the offense. As predictable as we were last year, we went 12-4. I'm not Jake's biggest fan, but I will not denigrate him either. I certainly believe he is among the top 10 QBs in the league at this time..

My list starts at:

Manning

Brady

Roethlisberger

E. Manning

Brees

Jake

Warner

Rivers

Hassleback

McNabb

In that order...

There are many things wrong with that list, chief among them Jake and Hasselback being in it.
