Panthers interested in Safety Steve Gregory

Recommended Posts

You're right, I'm sure we'll probably decide the way we've been doing it is flawed and make a heavy commitment to addressing positions of need these next few days.

Ahhhh, I see.

So we only have a FEW DAYS to fix problems for a season that starts in September?

It's all so CLEAR to me now...

just coincidence that others make Godfrey look bad...

also, Lucas was great early that year. Some argue it was opponents realizing Godfrey had no clue to how to help his CBs in coverage that caused QBs to target those window.

also, CBs play out the window. They have nothing to do with the fact Godfrey couldn't take Jerry Richardson running in the open field.

I mean really? Do you realize what you type or do you just hope the poo sticks and does not slide down the wall. Godfrey was second in solo tackles last year only to James Anderson. Also S play out the window Godfrey sucks as an LB which he basically was most of last year.

yeah, I use PFF stats as supporting evidence....and Godfrey was one of the worst tackling S in the NFL last year (along w/ Martin actually). He has struggled with open field tackles every year he has been in uniform here....last year was no exception.

As far as the Lucas conversation went....last year has nothing to do with that and him playing up as the SS. That year after Lucas' great start teams realized Godfrey wasn't providing the help and they exploited it.

I dont really like all of the Chargers players either, but give Rivera some credit. He hasnt even had a whole off-season yet to put his team together.

Rivera has posted #1 defenses in Chicago and in San Diego. He knows what he is doing, have some patience.

no no, listen to that guy. He knows what he is saying. Rivera is just plain stupid. He knows nothing about football

LMFAO you do realize that this is the same Writers that said we needed WRs this year as well. I dont know if I would draw my whole opinion about our team with a bunch of guys who have no clue about our team and just cherry picked stats. Still whatever floats your boat.

Holy cow! Another guy who played on the number one defense in the league under Ron Rivera and Steve Wilks...

Why would we want a guy like that? :sosp:

While I understand the point your making, that argument isn't all that valid, because they got that ranking despite his play.

If someone got Bell, they would've gotten a player from the number 5 offence, but that doesn't mean it was a good pickup.
