. What % of impact do you think a corner has on a game compared to a DE, DT, QB, RB, LB. Do you really think that the best corner in the world can effect a game as much as the best in world at those other positions?

I know passing has become more important, but the ball is still snapped at the line and the other 5 positions can effect every play where as a corner is really only effective on passing plays. Yes you can run blitzes but youre not going to do that on every play obviously.

Whats more important is that there truly is no such thing as a shut down corner. Revis will still get burned by 89, Megatron and the some other greats. Corner has gotten more important, but the game still is impacted by other positions more imo.

DEs can be made ineffective with a good LT, DT/OG, and LB can be dominated by both. Also CB is relayed on for run support as well. Gamble is one of the better CBS at run support matter of fact. Every position is important but talent in this draft lies at CB.

Nope I didnt say you cant, i just simply put that the few great corners do have a great impact on teams, where you suggested they didnt. Of course you can game plan around a corner as well, but again, you can almost eliminate one side of the field with a great corner. Pair another one with Gamble, that is very nice, especially in this division. I thought it was pretty elementary.

So to sum up, I saw your recent posts in the Saint thread and I get that youre lookin for a fight. Goooood, I like that spunk, kid, but this wasnt a debate or an argument or anything like that. It was simply me making a statement and then you getting emo angry and calling me names :lol:. Which is pretty funny in itself. Top level corners are a commodity in this lg, there are only a handful and i would say taking one side of the field away is pretty dominant, while other than QB, those other positions can be game planned around.

All I'm saying is good DTs are available if we want them in FA. As well as talented CBS are available in this draft if we want them. Both would upgrade our defense. Also a player like Claiborne could mask some mistakes by our S. As gamble does in a lot of games.

Yeah no Christmas gift would make me happier than getting a nasty corner for sure. It appears to me that Claiborne is a more special talent in his position than any of the DT's are. Brockers didnt impress me I guess although he fits the bill and Poe has question marks.

So I would go corner before DT in this draft when we're talking Panthers, but overall I would prefer having a nasty DT before having second strong corner.
