The one thing I didn't consider is that the Saints could get a player equal to Nicks for about half the price. I guess they knew Grubbs was not going to sign with the Ravens so they were holding out waiting for him. If they can sign Grubbs and save a ton of cap money it would be the steal of the year. No lock yet but rumor is they are close!

I can't see how they can pay Brees now except with the tag, I just don't see how they could have enough cap space left to give Brees the contract that he wants.
