They are diehard and at the same time have a distorted view of thier team.

I actually know a Lions fan. The poor, poor son of a bitch went to the sports bar every week in his Ernie Sims jersey and hoped.

Because of him, I've started rooting for them in a "big brother/little brother" sort of way.

And, Cincinnati Bengals fans: they hate their owner more than anyone outside of Raiders/Lions fans. They hope to every deity you can think of that they draft offensive line early and often, this year.

...and sadly, 8-8 is a successful season, considering their pitiful scouting staff.

top dawg, you really think patient is the best word to describe Steelers fans? I heard lots of fans wanting to get rid of Roethlisberger after the motorcycle accident and subsequent season and even more who wanted Cowher's head after his two losing seasons in the middle of his tenure.

I hate to say it because my best friend is one, but Steeler fans as a group aren't all that different from Cowboy fans. They just have more to crow about lately.
