The reason Manning will not join Miami

Peyton is 35 and coming off of 3 neck surgries. No telling how long Manning will play before getting hit hard in that neck area. Manning just needs to pick a team and get it over with. Who cares anymore. Manning is a old man now. He has a few years left at best.

Whenever he plays the Saints.

Where'd you hear this mort?

Citing multiple NFL sources, the Denver Post confirms the Broncos are one of free agent Peyton Manning's top two choices.

The Broncos' main selling points are coach John Fox's "carte blanche" for Manning to run his own offense and "quality of life" for the quarterback's family in Colorado. Former Colts president Bill Polian opined Tuesday afternoon that the Broncos and Titans are the two finalists. Manning will reportedly meet with Tennessee coach Mike Munchak on Wednesday. We certainly wouldn't count the Cardinals out just yet, though NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora can't find anybody around the league who believes Miami is "well-positioned" to land Manning.

The season starts at the same time no matter how long he takes to chose. It has no bearing.

You people are lying straight up if given the same situation you wouldn't chose your place of employment with the same amount of scrutiny. Any highly sought after businessman or doctor or lawyer or whatever would do the same.

I think the Dolphins came to the realization that they were out of the race for Manning (assuming they were ever really in it).

Seems like he met with them out of courtesy, but he spent way more time with the Broncos and Cards. Wasn't even interested in touring the Dolphins facilities, etc... met with Philbin in Indy.

I don't see how the Titans can afford three QBs like that. They have Matt Hasselbeck who they signed to a decent sized deal last season, Jake Locker who was drafted in the Top 10 last season, and now they're trying to get Peyton Manning? How?
