That's not a very good reason not to draft one.

You could end up with a RB like Shelton who does nothing, or a G like Nelson who does nothing, or a receiver like Jarrett who does nothing or a QB like Clausen who does nothing. Instead you are worried about getting an multiple year All Pro and Pro Bowl DT?

Every big fat guy in the middle are all the same. Right? Yeah we all know about those generalizations. Seems to me that we had 2 big fat guys last year who did okay. Jason Shirley is 6'5" and 338lbs and had 2 1/2 sacks in 4 games. Kearse is "smaller" at 6'5" and only 325. If we add Poe to the mix no one will have to ask us "where is the beef??".

Drafting a guy with a known history of injuries is what makes me scared of drafting guys like Still in the 1st round, Hogan indeed had a knee injury, but picking him in the 4th, was more idea, than picking him in the 1st.

i don't want to draft a DT this year either but not because of a curse and certainly not because a completely unrelated defensive tackle before him ate too much.

it kind of reminds me of people not wanting to draft cam newton because of jamarcus russell. cam's gonna get sooooo fat.
