Cut him while still on a rookie contract? I highly doubt it. Otah is the least likely to be cut unless he can't make it through training camp. There's very little financial reasons to cut him. And I doubt the Panthers front office is affected by the agent talking to the media.

Are you serious? This is not a huge story. The agent said he's working hard. I'm pretty sure the reporter doesn't need to do a two week investigative report to see if that is true before posting the quote on twitter.
