Sorry you dont want the Panthers to improve. Qb is the weakest part of this team I thought the object of a team was to improve every year and try to win the Superbowl. Guess the Panthers dont believe that. Can yall honestly say Jake over the past 3 year has been a good qb?

QB is the weakest link of the offense, but as the second half of the season attests, the defense is the weakest link. For people who say that's not important to fix, ask the Saints and Broncos how that worked for them last year.

not being pissed that jake got a new deal = not wanting the team to improve

loving it.

I've always found that line of thinking to be pretty silly.

Just because the team (or another fan) disagrees with you about how to go about it, that does not mean they have less of a desire to win or a commitment to success. The whole idea is ludicrous.

The Panthers did this because they believe they can win with Jake, and there's plenty of evidence to back that idea up.

Could they be wrong? Sure, but the notion that they did this for some other reason and they don't care about doing what it takes to improve the team and win the Super Bowl is just goofy.

Just because you think it is ludricous doesnt make it so. Just like the Bears and Grossman atleast he Bears realised what they had.

You gotta remember that Squirrel mostly says things just to get a rise out of people, doesn't mean he agrees with it. Though he has been pretty consistent on Jake hate for a long time...

Here is my view on QB's you have Franchise Quarterbacks and you have QB's that play a few good years but float around the league. Franchise QB'S Brady, Manning and Brees are QB's that you build a team around but also they can go on any team and make them better doesnt matter who they play with.

Then you have the "flash in the pan" QB's they are only good until other teams figure out their weakness and they exploit it. Defenses know that if they key on on ething that can take those players out of thier game and get into there head. Jake falls in this group. Franchise QB's you keep on your team as long as you can the other you bring in when they are unkown and then when they are outed you get rid of them.

We are hanging onto a "flash in the pan" Qb and made him a Franchise QB. The way this team is built if you bring in a just a capable QB that manages the team on the field without throwing INT it can when the games. Once you try to put the team on these types of QB's they lose it for you.

I would much prefer us pick up a "Flash in the pan" QB but not keep him 7 years. You keep him for 3 years tehn you find another.

They believed they could win it all with Mike Trgovac as DC. I didn't agree, but I didn't question their desire to win because of it.

It's a difference of opinion about how to get it done. That they would choose a path different than what I would doesn't make them 'less committed" than me.

The notion that the Panthers aren't committed to winning is flat out ridiculous. Their jobs and livelihoods depend on it. The worst thing that happens to you or me if they lose is we get razzed by opposing fans.

I guess if you don't do your job the way I think you ought to do it, it must mean you don't care about doing a good job. And you'd be okay with that judgment, right?

it's just an old and tired and boring routine.

"the team doesn't do what i think they should do and does things i don't think they should do so that proves that they aren't interested in winning or going to the superbowl."

this one is even more boring...

"fans that don't get upset at the team for (not) doing what i and other complainers think should (not) be done are just complacent and happy with a mediocre team and have no desire for the panthers to improve."

there are some fans that are just happy that we:

- just have a team

- don't have a team like the bengals

- did better last year than many thought we would

- still have a good core of players and lot to build on

- have a good young team with loads of talent and tons of potential

- have fox under contract for just one more year

i have no problem with any of these fans. them looking at the bright side of things doesn't make them apathetic.

and there are some fans that are pissed that we:

- got embarrassed on national TV (even though it was great that we got there at all)

- haven't got a ring yet (even though we are still a young team and have lots of talent that will be here for a long time)

- don't have the ideal QB (no one has said that we aren't looking for the next one and there is still a chance (maybe small one) that he is good next year)

- don't know what is going to happen with peppers (we'll find out soon enough)

- let the peppers situation get to this point (peppers shares a lot of the blame on this one)

- have a coach that is conservative by nature and is holding us back (hey, he only has one year left on his contract...but he does have a chance to have a better defense with meeks)

i have no problem with these fans either. it's just funny that these pissed off fans will let stuff get to them so much. the anger is hilarious. the inability to see any light or good that can come from things they think are so horrible is very funny. it can get old, though. will it stop? not as long as we have a team. i think they should take a step back and chill every once in a while. it might do their heart some good.

but but but hes like 34. and and what about the playoff game he by himself lost that game for us. those two facts alone make him the worst QB in the league. the stats mean nothing. Hurney and Fox have no idea what there doing! OMG!!!
