Delhomme has new deal

Cant you guys just be happy we at least have a QB and its not 2007 all over again? Or did you forget how bad that season was.

+ now we DO have some cap room

The cap room wont matter. Jake Delhomme has already proven the last 6 years he cant get us over the top. The fans want a Super Bowl. This move pretty much ensures we wont be seeing 1 anytime soon. Now that we've handcuffed ourselves to Jake to the tune of 42 mill, we'll see that as he continues to decline so will the franchise. It could definitely become 1998-2001 all over again.

Well I tell you what, you just go ahead and quite supporting the Panthers. I bet they don't even notice. That way of logic doesn't even empress me, it has no validation at all. An 12-4 team is gonna get all kinds of support at the stadium, regardless of what you have to say today. So go on, leave, it's not gonna make a mark, trust me on this...

Since Hurney doesn't negotiate contracts, I really don't see hearing a lot of boos, since even your average fan knows this.

I'm not condoning Jake, but I'm not condemning him either. It's time to sober up, get real and consider the alternatives. I'm sure you'll understand after you actually calm down and think about it...

No they won't. Gotta have something to cry and complain about, without using logic first.

Think- The Titans had their best SEASON EVER and they will still start Collins even with a capable Young siting the bench (a VERY EXPENSIVE Young)

And thats after Collins basically cost them their game.

The reason is; coaches see more than we see, they know what got them there, and they understand what it will take to get back.

I'm on your side on this one....but what cost Tennessee that game was losing Chris Johnson to injury in the first half, and LenWhale and Alge Crumpler's lost fumbles.

Exactly. Anybody not happy about giving a 34 year old quarterback that had roughly a TD to pick ratio, crapped the bed of a 12-4 team, and threw 5 picks in the most important game of the season $20 million promised dollars and an extension until he's 38 years old after coming off of an unprecedented ligament replacement operation is INSANE.

You're freakin' hopeless!

Again, being CAP-strapped as we are because of JP, how were we going to get another QB to come to Charlotte, assuming there were any out there better than Jake to be Had?

You say Jake 'cr@pped the bed on the 12-4 team in the playoff lost, but you admit to a 12-4 season that Jake was partly responsible for! You probably will add that he had everything to do with the playoff loss but nothing to do with the 12-4 season; however, you will not admit that Jake didn't lose that playoff game alone. The D gave up a ton of points, the coach refused to pressure the QB and allowed Fitz to dictate the defensive match-up that allowed him to burn the Panthers over and over! That moronic playcalling, which IMO came from FOX, is probably why most of his defensive staff bailed on a 12-4 Carolina!

No money for other QBs, no better options at QB anyway, no money for signing draft picks, no relief in sight from Peppers....

You would rather have kept himon the roster for $11 Mil this season with no money to sign draft picks rather than do what is best for the team, which was to re-sign for $8 Mil a year and CAP room but also cost $20 Mil for Jake doing us this 'favor' - again very limited options!

Maybe you just like to b!tch?! Instead of telling us this move $ucked, give us a better solution! PLEASE!

That Alge Crumpler fumble didnt help much either....tehy had a few red zone td's didnt they. I dont remember this being Collins fault, but i could be wrong

If I remember right the Titans had a chance to come back in the end and Collins couldnt get it done, in fact i think he threw his own INT's to help their loss.

Either way, the team with THE BEST regular season record went out just as bad.

The playoffs are about being hot at the right time and well, we werent.....
