Enough of the Pat White BS!

I've read his assessment from several sources:

'He doesn't have the arm strength or accuracy for a starting QB in the NFL'

'Questionable decison-making at times'

'Is a threat to run the ball'

'Will possibly be tried as a WR initially or 'double threat' WR/QB'

'Very raw at route-running'

'Has a problem holding onto the ball in open spaces at times in the past'

D@mn, he sounds like MAYBE a little better version of Randy Fasani - where is he now? Oh yeah, GONE!

The top 3 guys in this draft would be 2nd to 3rd rounders if 3 QBs coming out next year (OK, Tx, Fla) were in this draft, so where would that leave THIS guy? If those 3 were in this draft, we would be talking about Picking Stafford with our 2nd or 3rd round pick - this guy would slide to 4th or 5th!

Oh yeah, and you forgot FOX is still our HC, STILL hates rookies/drafting QBs, and Carolina STILL doesn't have the ability to develop young/drafted QB talent (check out the track record)!

[Maybe we should fire our current barrel and hire a larger one and/or move it every once in a while while they are throwing at it. That d@mn barrel seems to be the total amout of our QB training ability!]

Cant you guys just be happy we at least have a QB and its not 2007 all over again? Or did you forget how bad that season was.

+ now we DO have some cap room

Way it is sounding he didnt save us much but still waiting on the official figures.

AK,

We will have to swallow our pride on this and bite the bullet. He is here to stay for now. If Jake sucks it up this year, Hurney and Fox will have to answer to it.

On the bright side, I think this may be a clue towards a Peppers deal. Not dealing Peppers and re-signing Jake has been our off-season moves or lack there of. I dont like being all doom and gloom, but at this very moment its tough. We have a very tough schedule this year and we have yet to improve. Tony just signing with Atlanta does not help matters.

cap move, anyone not happy about this is a fool

Exactly. Anybody not happy about giving a 34 year old quarterback that had roughly a TD to pick ratio, crapped the bed of a 12-4 team, and threw 5 picks in the most important game of the season $20 million promised dollars and an extension until he's 38 years old after coming off of an unprecedented ligament replacement operation is INSANE.

I think everyone knows Fox and Delhomme are glued to the hip.

Rememeber; Fox's great hope was Rodney Pete, then Delhomme + Smith actually turned him into a credible coach.

2003- SuperBowl

2004- Smith broke his leg and it all went down hilll from there- we lost about 20 players on IR

2005 - Playoffs- NFCCG and just ran out of players again

2006- Close, but not good enough-

2007- Started great but ran out of QB's

2008- Best season ever and broke a lot of club records

2009- ???????

Fox wont bench Delhomme unless Delhomme cant throw the ball.

I still think next years draft is PERFECT for a new QB- i will be DEEP at QB!~!!!!!!

Think- The Titans had their best SEASON EVER and they will still start Collins even with a capable Young siting the bench (a VERY EXPENSIVE Young)

And thats after Collins basically cost them their game.

The reason is; coaches see more than we see, they know what got them there, and they understand what it will take to get back.

Glad everyone agrees.
