It's already been mentioned as a real possibility for the Panthers to address the tackle situation with our first pick. Wouldn't shock me, and might be the smartest way to go. With Cam in place, priority one is keeping him healthy.

I doubt we spend a high draft choice on an offensive player unless Kalil falls that far and he won't. Just because they think that Schwartz is not worth tendering doesn't mean that we are going to draft a RG high or that we don't have anyone who can do the job. Schwartz might have been good in 2010 but it doesn't mean he would be the best option in 2012. Otherwise we could definitely afford his 1.5 million salary. I think it something else besides the money.
