Manning choosing between...

Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

Things we've previously heard speculated:

- Manning won't play in a cold weather city because of the age and wear on his body.

- Manning won't sign with an NFC team because he only wants to face Eli in the Super Bowl.

- Manning will only sign with a team that has other clients of his agency (CAA) in key positions.

And now this, which would contradict other ideas which everyone thought were known.

The level of speculation on this story has reached near Biblical proportions.

Does being a mile high help with nerve regeneration?

Gabbert leads to the la jags. Is that what you want?

I don't think most of us care what the Jags do. They can move to Sweden and change their names to the Gothenburg Meatballs. Knock yourselves out.

The thought of playing Peyton Manning at home again, if he goes with Denver, count me out.

He might not do well outside the dome but when he plays the Panthers, he beats the living crap out of them.

The thought of JOhn Fox getting Peyton Manning is up there with lipstick on a pig.

Hasn't he only played us three times and is 1-2 if I remember correctly, with the win coming against young Vincent Testeverde? Bring it.

It cracks me up when people say Peyton dosent fit a certian offence. One of the best QBs of all time fits evey offence.

I think basically Manning would be the OC on field, no matter where he goes. The team will be a Manning offence. The real question will be, who has the best Oline? That's where he goes. IMO.

Get it out of here. in 2011, the Panthers beat the Colts without Manning and half their team. Who didn't beat the Colts last year.

In 2007, Manning beat the poo out of Carolina:

The other one, I don't remember, but, I sure remember 2007.

Too often the Panthers defense becomes the highlight reel for the top QB that week.

Arizona would be an automatic playoff appearance though. Easily the weakest division in football. And the ability to play in a dome.

I wouldn't say that anymore. The 49ers are a legit very good team, a QB away from being a constant elite team. The Seahawks are middle of the road, the Rams might be a force in the near future with their franchise QB and the boatload of early picks they have in the next few drafts. I'd say the AFC West is easily worse, the AFC South is worse by a little bit (49ers and Texans are more or less on even ground, Seahawks and Titans on even ground, Cardinals > Jags, Rams > Colts).

We beat Peyton in 1998, 27-19. We beat him 23-20 in 2003. The Colts beat us 31-7 in 2007 when we started Testeverde and had to bring in Carr after the half because Vinnie's achilles disintegrated. Dude has beat us one time. It's not like he has a history of lighting us up or anything.

Arizona and Denver per ESPN, and said to be leaning toward Denver.

Manning narrows options

Schefter and Mortensen say that the situation is still fluid, but their sources believe he'll wind up in one of those two cities.

Speculation is that if it's Denver, The Golden Calf of Bristol will be traded or cut.

Sorry but i'm going to have to throw the BS card about Manning going to either ARI or DEN.

I just can't see him winding up anywhere but MIA,everything considered.

lol ESPN saying Den and Zona are the two leading contenders. Well no poo, those are the only other places he has visited.

In other news the Carolina Panthers are tied for second with the rest of the league in their attempt to get Manning.

Exactly, if the fact a QB beat us by a decent margin once means we have to fear them forever, then I guess I'm skeered of Matt frickin' Hasselbeck :P
