Before last year, when was the last time the panthers were in position to sign a franchise QB? You take Andrew Luck. Rare opportunity. I feel bad for him though. They are cleaning house.

they are doing in one swoop what the panthers did in two.

the house cleaning they are doing with players, we did the year before fox left.

i think it makes it harder doing it all at once, but people were calling for the panthers to do the same thing not too long ago or were at least complaining because we spread it out so much. i think the panthers did it right, fwiw.

Cleveland supposedly didn't want to give up the #4 and #22 for RG3, think they'd give up FOUR picks for Luck? heh

The browns have actually realized that you need picks to win in this league. Unlike the redskins who will be in another 10 years of hurt for what they just did.

God people you kill me.

First picks...more valuable than a ring? Christ...

No way this happens. Why? Because picks are not better than setting yourself up for a ring. Having Luck minues all those picks is not setting yourself up and niether is loading up with a bunch firsts and never taking a player like Luck. He is the most worthy prospect of the #1 in years and their QB has left, everyone has left which actually works to Luck's advantage. The Colts are going through a much more massive overhaul rebuild than what we had to do. We have never had a franchise QB let alone one good enough to completely build a team around. Picks are not like poker chips, like Madden has you believe.

If you have the number 1 already, why would you trade the opportunity that everyone is killing over? Wouldn't it be smarter to use the fact it cost you nothing (future pick wise)? Same deal with the Panthers last year. How much did you guys want to trade our pick last year before we knew Luck was not going to declare, after a horrifying, low record setting season (errily similar to what the colts just went through)? No one.
