Lombardi says Claiborne will be a Panther

yeah, it's hard to know what teams actually think. i do believe there's a lot of validity to those thoughts that "a number of teams" don't see reiff as an OT but as an OG, but then I don't see much of anyone in the draft aside from kalil who would be a great OT. the better OTs in the draft (not kalil) i think may actually become OGs in the pros. it happens pretty frequently. a lot of the best OGs in the league are converted OTs. i see the guys in this class largely being like that.

overall i see this class as being great for teams wanting to build up the interior of their Olines and Dlines, but not so much for OTs and DEs.

a statement that completely discounts your previous theory

why would you believe this to be fact rather than misinformation by teams with OBVIOUS ulterior motives? No reason given.

I don't see much of anyone in the draft aside from kalil who would be a great OT.

Why? No reason given.

the better OTs in the draft (not kalil) i think may actually become OGs in the pros.

Why this applies to any of the OTs yet not Kalil for some reason? No reason given.

Data to back up the historical trend of the #2 rated OT in a draft likely to end up being an OG? No. Reason why it applies to this specific case? Nothing.

overall i see this class as being great for teams wanting to build up the interior of their Olines and Dlines, but not so much for OTs and DEs.

Why exactly? No reason given.

Lombard says "Claiborne will be a Panther".

If by the grace of god, Claiborne is there at #9, we will take him. I don't need some hack writer to tell me the obvious. There is no story here, just an amateur mock draft.

If we all went by your standards to post something here, there would be no threads.

if i cared enough about this i would expound and back stuff up, but i don't.

wasn't trying to argue. wasn't necessarily disagreeing with you.

is rieff the second rated OT? maybe. whose boards are we talking? all anyone is doing is talking out of their asses at this point. it's all more or less educated guesses.

is there data to back up that some of the best OGs in the league are converted OTs? sure. i'm just saying that it wouldn't be unheard of or shouldn't come as a complete shocker for a college OT, regardless of ranking, to convert to OG. again, if i cared enough i would cite examples but it's late and i'm tired.

why do "i see this class as being great for teams wanting to build up the interior of their Olines and Dlines, but not so much for OTs and DEs"? i don't know....just an opinion.
